OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — A picturesque Ottawa County park situated in the middle of over 2,000 acres of sand dunes has reopened to the public with newly paved pathways, modern restrooms, a kayak launch and more.

Ottawa Sands County Park, at the confluence of Lake Michigan and the Grand River, closed this past spring to undergo major access improvements and ecological enhancements. On Tuesday, Oct. 17, Ottawa County residents and officials celebrated the grand reopening of the 345-acre park after six months of construction.
