The Detroit Tigers have promoted top pitching prospect Jackson Jobe to Triple-A Toledo for the final two weeks of the Mud Hens’ season.

Jobe, 22, was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 draft. He’s spent all of this season at Double-A Erie.

He earned an invitation to big-league spring training after a dominant 2023 campaign split over three levels.

In 16 starts this year with the Seawolves, Jobe has a 1.95 ERA with 81 strikeouts and 38 walks in 73 2/3 innings.

After a slow start to his professional career, Jobe is now the consensus top pitching prospect in baseball. His late-season promotion will set him up for a big-league debut at some point in 2025.
