It’s official. Coco Gauff has claimed her first French Open title.
On March 13, 2025, in celebration of the tennis star’s 21st birthday, New Balance introduced the Coco Delray, a new sneaker honoring the Florida city where Gauff was raised. And in anticipation of Wimbledon in a few weeks, the brand dropped both of Gauff’s namesake New Balances — the Coco Delray and the Coco CG2 — in a white and bright green color palette inspired by the London tournament. The Coco CG2 is the athlete’s signature competition shoe, and throughout the 2025 French Open, she’s been sporting the style in its other fresh colorway: linen and light blue (seen on Instagram).
Back to the Coco Delray, the design is inspired by Gauff’s personal style and her favorite off-court New Balance models. It’s named after the athlete’s home of Delray Beach, Florida, and influenced by the Pompey Park public courts where she would train.
The lightweight sneaker is equally suited for the court and the street. The new Wimbledon colorway joins three other variations in women’s sizes and three in men’s (see them all here). For women, colors include soft yellow with aqua and navy accents, white and navy in addition to solid off-white, and for men, offerings include navy blue with aqua and soft yellow accents, white and navy plus black and gray.
