Pedestrian bridge coming to Burton Street over I-96 to improve safety

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, MI – A new pedestrian bridge is going to be built on Burton Street over I-96 to improve safety.

Construction of the pedestrian overpass is projected to start next fall, Township Engineer Aric Thorne said. On Wednesday, Sept. 25, the Cascade Township Board of Commissioners approved a $300,000 contract with engineering consultant Spaulding DeDecker to complete the design phase of the project.
