On Friday at 3:41 p.m. EDT the National Weather Service issued a frost advisory valid for Saturday between 2 a.m. EDT and 9 a.m. EDT for Marquette, Alger, Luce, Iron, Dickinson, Menominee, Delta and Schoolcraft counties.

The weather service states, “Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation. However, closer to Lake Superior, temperatures will not fall as much as farther inland, preventing frost formation near Lake Superior.”

“Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” states the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
