Lions sign running back to 2-year contract extension

ARLINGTON, Texas — Running back David Montgomery personifies everything this rebuild has been about. Now he’s being rewarded for it, earning a two-year contract extension that will keep him in Detroit through the 2027 season. ESPN reports the deal is worth $18.25 million and includes $10.5 million in new guarantees.
