Suspect in custody as police investigate possible homicide near Saginaw Bay

STANDISH, MI — A suspect is in custody as police actively investigate a possible homicide at an Arenac County home.

Michigan State Police troopers from the West Branch Post were dispatched to assist Arenac County deputies at a Standish residence, in the 1200 block of West Stover Rd., at around 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14.

There is no threat to the public, Michigan State Police posted on X, Monday evening.

The MSP Crime Lab is on scene as responders continue to investigate.
