Dallas Loughridge commits to Michigan

Date:

For the Michigan women’s basketball team’s second offseason recruit, Wolverines coach Kim Barnes Arico decided to go overseas. Nearly two months after Michigan’s first offseason commitment, Barnes Arico announced the addition of guard Dallas Loughridge to the program.

Hailing from Australia, the 22-year-old most recently played for the Casey Cavaliers in Australia’s highest semi-professional basketball league, the NBL1 South. Loughridge averaged 25.5 points, 5.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game for the the Cavaliers.

In addition, Loughridge brings three years of professional experience in the WNBL. In her most recent season for the Adelaide Lightning, she was named the 2026 Betty Watson Breakout Player of the Year. Loughridge also played with former Wolverines guard Naz Hillmon with the Southside Flyers during the 2024-2025 season.

After the graduation of senior guards Brooke Quarles Daniels and Alyssa Crockett alongside the departure of freshman guard McKenzie Mathurin, Michigan’s notable pack of returning guards has looked a little sparse. Loughridge not only fills that positional gap, but also seems to be an addition that can elevate the Wolverines’ rotation.

With her professional experience, Loughridge looks to be a proven playmaker and backcourt ball-handler primed to aid the Michigan roster to another potential Elite Eight berth and beyond.
