BALTIMORE — An intriguing AFC matchup is set for the Sunday afternoon on the east coast, as Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens host the Las Vegas Raiders, with both teams looking for their first win of the season.

The Ravens had a chance to get some sort of revenge on the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game on the opening night of the season. However, mistakes made late, and a toe just out of bounds, cost Baltimore 10 days ago. Lamar Jackson was his typical dual-threat self, throwing for 273 yards and a touchdown, while leading the Ravens in rushing with 122 yards on the ground. They certainly showed glimpses of being a dominant team, but as the season wears on, Baltimore will need to be more consistent on both sides of the ball.
With a lot changeover from last season, some expected an improvement in the Raiders’ performance. However, all fans got was a mistake-filled season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. Las Vegas turned the ball over three times, and seemingly had no answer to the Chargers’ running game. While it was just the first game of the season, if the Raiders fail to come out with a better effort this week, they are going to be in for a long afternoon.
Baltimore is 9-4 against the Raiders, though Las Vegas won the last meeting during the 2021 season.
