In a streaming landscape that’s more competitive — and more expensive — than ever, Philo is doubling down on its ongoing mission: “provide the best value possible” and “expand the content offering.” The play? A reimagined $33 base plan, the Philo “enhanced” Core subscription, that now offers over 70 cable networks in addition to HBO Max, Discovery+ and AMC+.

Through a new Warner Bros. Discovery partnership, all Philo customers currently subscribed to the Core plan gain access to the ad-supported tiers of HBO Max and Discovery+. Current subscribers get both services at their existing rate of $28 per month for one month, before adjusting to the new price of $33 per month. On their own, HBO Max subscriptions start at $9.99 per month and Discovery+ subscriptions start at $5.99 per month, meaning Philo Core package subscribers are getting a $15+ value for $5.

As for new customers, following a seven-day free trial, Philo subscribers will gain access to the upgraded Core package at the $33 monthly rate.

In terms of live TV, Philo’s channel lineup includes 70+ top-rated cable networks (BET, Hallmark Channel, Nickelodeon, Food Network, etc.) along with 110+ free ad-supported channels. See the full list of channels here. (The plan also offers unlimited DVR.)

For on-demand content, subscribers will get HBO Max, AMC+ and Discovery+. HBO Max’s library houses hit series and films from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Turner Classic Movies, A24, Studio Ghibli and more. Philo customers will now be able to watch critically acclaimed classic HBO original series (The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Succession) along with recent Emmy-winning series (The Pitt, The Penguin, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Hacks) plus fan favorites like Friends, Abbott Elementary, Rick and Morty and The Big Bang Theory. HBO Max is also home to blockbuster hits (Superman, A Minecraft Movie, Sinners) along with beloved franchises (Harry Potter, It, The Conjuring, Final Destination).
