I was in makeup for 18 hours a day. Prior to that, I started developing under skin acne because I couldn\u2019t get all the makeup off of my skin. I started having to do various things to strip my skin and regulate it. It was horrible for my skin. It might have gotten rid of the under skin acne but [it was] stripping my face. When I was in Canada shooting Angela\u2019s Eyes<\/em>, the makeup artist introduced me to this brand that I had never seen in the States before \u2014Bioderma. I [have been] using it ever since. The wipes have saved me many a night coming home from an event. I just keep them by the bed to get the makeup off.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBioderma launched abroad in 1995, but it only became available in America at Ulta, Target, and CVS last year. The company is further expanding its footprint in the U.S. by opening its first corporate office in Houston next year. Between upcoming projects abroad and summer plans, THR<\/em> figured who better to ask about travel style essentials? \u201cWherever I go, [I think], \u2018How can I keep things fun, easy, effortless, and reusable?\u2019\u201d she shared. \u201cYou\u2019ll see the coordinating of all these pieces. They all go together.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAs for where her travels will take her next, Spencer joked, \u201cWhere will it not?\u201d She has upcoming jobs in Italy and Paris as well as plans to visit her home away from home of Ojai, \u201c[which] isn\u2019t too far away but it feels a world away when I\u2019m up there. It has become my second home and healing place.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn honor of the starry beauty party, Spencer shared her summer must-haves and travel hacks. I keep it in my purse. I keep it on a plane,\u201d Spencer says, adding that in addition to removing make-up, it\u2019s also her hack for clothing stains. \u201cIf you spill red wine or chocolate, put a little Bioderma Micellar water on it with a little Q-tip. It\u2019ll get it right out. That\u2019s the bigger secret that I\u2019ve learned about Bioderma. It\u2019s [great for] my skin, but also stains.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cOf all the serums I\u2019ve used, this vitamin C serum<\/a> leaves the most [beautiful] glow, and [I love] the smell of it. I\u2019m a vitamin C person, and this is my favorite vitamin C and my favorite serum [Joanna Vargas] makes.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI don\u2019t want to look like I\u2019m wearing makeup [in the summer], but I want to look a little better than I do without makeup. It\u2019s the easiest [product]. With the brush, it blends right into my skin. It evens out my skin tone, and that\u2019s all that I\u2019m wearing this summer.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI have cystic acne, so I cannot use sunscreen on my face. It breaks me out. The only one I\u2019ve been able to use is Elta MD<\/a>. It\u2019s made specifically for an anti-acne experience, and it\u2019s the only sunscreen that doesn\u2019t break me out, so it\u2019s perfect for summer. It\u2019s light, too. But [I don\u2019t use] the tinted, you\u2019ve got to go with the regular [product].\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI discovered Agent Nateur at We Care<\/a> [Spa in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.]. They have a pretty stringent policy around which products they\u2019ll bring into the space out there. They have to be natural, vegan. It is the lightest [product], but it has a super glow. It almost looks like it\u2019s putting a little color into my skin but there\u2019s no color and also it has a tightening aspect to it. It\u2019s a great summer body balm<\/a> because it tightens. I have noticed a huge difference. It\u2019s all natural and it works. It\u2019s my go-to now.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI always say if I was on a deserted island what\u2019s the one beauty product I\u2019d bring? This eyelash curler. I don\u2019t wear mascara in the summers as it\u2019s too messy. So, I go to Kristie Streicher to keep lashes and brows summer [ready]. When I use the Surratt eyelash curler<\/a>, I get asked if my lashes are real. [It\u2019s the] best on market I\u2019ve found.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cJanessa makes a really great travel bucket hat, but this one has the tie. I was in Indonesia with Jules [Hough] and Nina [Dobrev], and we all had our Janessa Leone bucket hats<\/a>. But they didn\u2019t have a tie. Mine just flew off into the ocean \u2014 never to be seen again. I realized, \u2018Alright, we need a necktie from here on out.\u2019 This one is dainty and feminine and also protects from the sun. It\u2019s like a little shield.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201c[These] flower sprinkles from As Ever<\/a> are like joy in a little can,\u201d she says of the currently sold-out edible flower petals from close friend Meghan Markle\u2019s new lifestyle brand. The sprinkles can be added as confetti to any confection: \u201cYou put it on everything. I put it in drinks. I put it in salads. It\u2019s perfect for me. When I can\u2019t have County Line Florals, I have my As Ever flower sprinkles.\u201d Just add your name to the wait list for when it\u2019s re-released.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSmileActives is a new discovery. I am obsessed with having white teeth, but I\u2019m not willing to do the strips because my teeth are so sensitive. It has blue light technology. I travel with it and have it on the airplane. It has a little bit of a whitening gel. It is the easiest system to use.\u201d She added, \u201cI mean, who doesn\u2019t love being a little tan and having white teeth in the summer?\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI normally don\u2019t like a ros\u00e9 champagne, but this is the best one I\u2019ve ever had<\/a>. [This tastes like] summer to me. We went through years of ros\u00e9 all day, you know? And now I feel like champagne ros\u00e9 all day is where we\u2019re headed.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cI was in Georgia shooting a movie last month, and [there weren\u2019t] a lot of great, healthy options to keep my energy sustained. When I\u2019m shooting, I tend to not eat meat. I take out a lot of processed foods. I need all of my energy, and so I notice that a gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, plant-based [diet] is the best for me when I\u2019m shooting. I don\u2019t have a lot of options in Georgia, so I started ordering Sakara. It was so easy and such a game changer. They [also] have all these supplements<\/a> that help with energy, that improve metabolism. They really do work. I also like liquid vitamins. I feel like it gets [to] your system faster. They made it super easy. [I also like] the essentials kit for travel. I always feel like when summer rolls around, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019ve got to work out again and keep it right and tight. So what are the ways to do that?\u2019 That\u2019s a way to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cThis is another new discovery for me. They sell at Erewhon and Whole Foods, but it\u2019s a small company. I like liquid vitamins, and I\u2019ve really gotten into the gummy craze. They all taste great, but the WonderBurn<\/a> [is my favorite]. They help with appetite cravings and really settle your system. And they\u2019re all natural. It\u2019s a great young founder [Gabe Kennedy with Hudson Gaines-Ross]. I love finding companies like this.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cThis is my L.A. hat<\/a>. If you are an Angeleno, you need a little piece of L.A. with you at all times \u2014 especially as we continue to heal and recover from the fires. And I do love L.A. Football Club. It\u2019s my favorite L.A. local sports team. You can get [this hat] in all sorts [designs], but I love LAFC.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019m into a jean dress this year, I\u2019m going back to my Southern roots. I also like support, and what I love about this jean dress<\/a> is it\u2019s a little corseted, so it keeps everything in place. You can wear it with tennis shoes or you can dress it up. It\u2019s cute and well-proportioned. It\u2019s a great summer dress.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cLa Ligne is a forever staple [in my wardrobe]. What I love about their price point is you get a Celine-level aesthetic for a much more reasonable price. They make this dress<\/a> with the sweater top and bottom. I have been wearing it all the time. It\u2019s my uniform. It is a great travel dress. I wore it in Georgia. I\u2019m wearing it in L.A. I\u2019ve been wearing it in Ojai. I put a sweater on it<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t<\/a>\t<\/div> \n\t\u201cA summer sweater is always a thing for me. You know how in the summer things can feel heavy on the skin? [This doesn\u2019t], but it has great coverage. I love a navy with everything. So instead of [wearing] black or white, I think navy is a great summer sweater. I\u2019m like, \u2018Have I been wearing this sweater too much?\u2019 But it\u2019s perfect. This is my go-to sweater<\/a> right now.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI am going to Italy to shoot a movie later this summer. I just started [thinking], \u2018What would I want to [wear]? What is the perfect classic Italian summer look or summer vibe?\u2019 I saw that dress, and I was like, \u2018There she is. She\u2019s right there<\/a>.\u2019 So if you want to bring an Italian summer to your life, this is La Dolce Vita. It\u2019s so well-priced and it fits great. I\u2019m not normally into a shorter dress but this one is proportioned well.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019m obsessed with Heidi Merrick. She\u2019s not only one of my great friends, but she is able to bridge this effortless California elegance with surf culture. And that\u2019s my childhood as well. I have this dress in cream. I have this dress<\/a> in black, but the marigold is such a great choice. Yellow is one of the colors of summer for me.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI started wearing bodysuits almost exclusively. This is my go-to body suit<\/a>. I\u2019m wearing it now under my T-shirt and jeans \u2026 or dresses. It also doubles as a swimsuit.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cIt\u2019s the perfect jean. I mostly wear Khaite jeans<\/a> across the board. It\u2019s a great fit. They\u2019re an investment. They last forever. It is so comfortable. I love the high waist. You can roll it up and wear it with sneakers, but it is more fun to put on with tall boots. You can wear it with heels.
