\n\tThe Doja Cat<\/a> blitz will light up LACMA<\/a>\u2019s Art+Film gala. <\/p>\n \n\tThe chart-topping performer \u2014\u00a0fresh from dropping her latest album Vie<\/em>, announcing a world tour and booking a musical guest gig on Saturday Night Live<\/a><\/em> \u2014\u00a0will grace the stage as the gala\u2019s musical guest at the museum on Nov. 1. As previously announced, the night\u2019s honorees will be filmmaker Ryan Coogler and artist Mary Corse. The always fashionable affair, thanks to presenting sponsor Gucci, will be chaired once again by Eva Chow<\/a> and Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe Art+Film gala has hosted an incredible range of musical talent over the past 14 years,\u201d Chow said in a statement. \u201dDoja Cat is a boundary-breaking creative force who will bring her incomparable energy to the evening.\u201d She follows in the footsteps of last year\u2019s performer Charli XCX<\/a> who hit the stage and brought friend and tour mate Troye Sivan along for the ride. <\/p>\n \n\tThe Art+Film gala will take place against the backdrop of the museum\u2019s nearly completed David Geffen Galleries. Designed by architect Peter Zumthor, the crown jewel is expected to open in April 2026. Proceeds from Art+Film are funneled into LACMA\u2019s efforts to make film more central to its curatorial programming as well as the general mission of the institution.<\/p>\n
