\n\tKim Kardashian<\/a> is opening up about her previous marriage to Kanye \u201cYe\u201d West, and the difficulties they have faced since their divorce.<\/p>\n \n\tAppearing on Call Her Daddy<\/a><\/em>, in an episode released Wednesday, Kardashian reflected on the beginnings of her relationship with West and what first drew her to the rapper. Kardashian recalled West being \u201clarger than life\u201d and she was \u201calways learning with him.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tKardashian and West married in 2014, but their divorced was finalized in 2022. <\/p>\n \n\tWhen looking back at moments that signaled the end of their marriage Kardashian said she possibly wasn\u2019t \u201cpaying attention to them\u201d at first. She explained, \u201cI think when someone has their first mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and and be there for them.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHowever, Kardashian noted that changes weren\u2019t willing to be made. \u201cIt makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen you have kids, it\u2019s definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone\u2019s life forever.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe also admitted that her friends and family could likely see the signs that things weren\u2019t going good in their marriage. \u201cI think I got really dissociated and there were like so many times where I was just like really quiet and trying to figure it all out,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \n\tKardashian also reflected on when she knew it was time to walk away: \u201dOnce my mental health starts to get affected and then I can\u2019t parent the way that I need to and I can\u2019t be present and focused, then there\u2019s gotta be one of us that can. And I had to save myself in order to be a better mom for everyone. And I think, like, when everyone\u2019s older, they\u2019ll be able to understand it and see that all.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tWest and Kardashian share four children together and co-parenting with the rapper now is \u201cnot easy\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI mean, I raise the kids, you know, full time,\u201d she added. \u201cThey live with me. I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it\u2019s time for that. And it goes in waves and phases and it\u2019s a lot of work. But like I said earlier, I have the best memories and the best relationship, you know, with my dad. And even like, I love that, you know, I see [Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian\u2019s ex] Tristan [Thompson] puts, you know, their kids to bed every night and takes them to school every day when he\u2019s not, you know, in season. So I just welcome healthy relationships, but it\u2019s not easy.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe said that they haven\u2019t heard from West in \u201ca couple of months.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThey always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that \u2026 and that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place,\u201d Kardashian said when asked how she explains those moments to their kids. \u201cSo, you know, we manage it really well. Like, they love, like their life, their routine and their schedule. And I think just their job as their mom is just to make sure that they stick to their routine, and they\u2019re healthy and happy.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe also assures that she has \u201cnever once\u201d kept the kids away from him. \u201cI think it\u2019s all good and we\u2019re living our life and then I just wake up, and there\u2019s all these tweets about how I\u2019ve kidnapped the kids and I\u2019m like, it\u2019s not a kidnapping, it\u2019s a divorce. You know, we can still all be in each other\u2019s lives and have group dinners. I just grew up so differently, seeing my family co-parent so great. And I see it with\u00a0Khlo\u00e9 and Tristan, and I just see really healthy relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cEvery time he has asked, I will always let them see their father. That\u2019s just who I am,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know, if there\u2019s a time where it\u2019s just really super unhealthy, I will, you know, say, \u2018Hey, let\u2019s do it here at my house, or let\u2019s figure out a different time.\u2019 But actually, when he is like that, he doesn\u2019t really want to see the kids a lot, so if he\u2019s having a hard time, he doesn\u2019t so it\u2019s always worked out. But, you know, he lives in all these different countries and I send them to Saudi Arabia and Italy and Japan and all over the world. Every time he asks, I\u2019ve never once denied it. No, I don\u2019t keep the kids, and I think that narrative really sucks for me and if I spoke out about it and rebutted it, I\u2019m just not that girl.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhen asked about the final straw in their marriage, Kardashian said the musician speaking out against her family, as well as not feeling safe physically, emotionally and financially were signs it was time to walk away. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI didn\u2019t know what you\u2019re gonna get when you wake up, and that\u2019s like a really unsettling feeling,\u201d she said. She also recalled when West was \u201cin an episode.\u201d West had revealed in 2018 that he had been\u00a0diagnosed with bipolar disorder. <\/a><\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI would like come home, and we had like five Lamborghinis, and I\u2019d come home and they\u2019d all be gone if he was in an episode. And I\u2019d be like, \u2018Oh, wait. Where\u2019s all our cars? Like, my new car?\u2019 And it would be like, oh, he gave them away to all of his friends,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \n\tDespite ending their marriage and experiencing ups and downs<\/a> after the fact, Kardashian said of their relationship, \u201cAn over a decade relationship with four beautiful children is not a failure.\u201d<\/p>\n
