As Casula put it, Michigan used a fullback because they had Bredeson to man the position. Bredeson also frequently lined up at tight end to be used as an extra blocker in different packages for the Wolverines.

Bredeson suffered an injury in Michigan’s penultimate regular-season game against Maryland. In that game he recorded his second catch of the year, converting a crucial third down.

While Bredeson was sidelined for the Ohio State game and the Citrus Bowl, he remained a critical voice behind the scenes. According to ABC, he even managed tight end rotations in the bowl game. The two-time captain, Bredeson has been applauded by coaches and teammates throughout his career for his leadership.

Now, Bredeson, who was still in a boot and scooter in Orlando, has some time to first get healthy and then make his case to NFL teams that he’s worthy of a spot on a professional roster.

Please consider donating to The Michigan Daily

Related articles

Michigan graduate tight end and fullback Max Bredeson officially declared for the NFL Draft Friday night, announcing his decision via an X post.
