\n\tYouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul<\/a> and his Olympic speed skater girlfriend Jutta Leerdam got engaged on Friday.<\/p>\n \n\tThe couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post Saturday<\/a>, featuring photos of the proposal, which took place the day before.<\/p>\n \n\tIn front of a scenic backdrop and amid white flowers and candles, Paul proposed to Leerdam, who looked surprised as she put her hand to her mouth. Another image showed her jumping up and down.<\/p>\n \n\tAnd, in yet another snap, she\u2019s holding her hand out to the camera and showing off the engagement ring.<\/p>\n \n\tThe pair, both clad in all-white, celebrated their engagement with a kiss and threw flower petals in the air and took in the view.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe\u2019re engaged,\u201d Paul captioned the post. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to spend forever together.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tOn Sunday, they shared a video of the proposal<\/a>, soundtracked by Lana Del Rey\u2019s \u201cYoung and Beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPaul captioned that with \u201cThe most magical day of our lives\u201d and included the March 21, 2025 date.<\/p>\n \n\tPaul and Leerdam met when he slid into her DMs in 2023 and invited her onto his podcast. The two made their relationship Instagram official that same year when Paul posted two photos of the two of them hand-in-hand and captioned the carousel with \u201cI\u2019m Dutch now\u201d<\/a> and tagged Leerdam.<\/p>\n \n\tSpeaking to The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> in an October cover story<\/a>, Paul opened up about his hopes for the two to reach the top of their fields in 2026.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSo in two years, Jutta gets a gold medal and I win the world championship. We\u2019d be world champion at the same time,\u201d Paul told THR<\/em> of his plan to take the cruiserweight boxing title when Leerdam, who currently has a silver medal, wins the gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.<\/p>\n \n\tAhead of his high-profile Netflix fight against Mike Tyson, where she supported him and which Paul ended up winning, in the most-watched sporting event on a streaming platform at the time, drawing 108 million viewers<\/a> despite technical glitches<\/a>, Leerdam expressed her support for her beau in the same THR<\/em> cover story.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe progression Jake has made is not normal,\u201d she said. \u201cOther athletes, they make a few percentage points of progression a year, if at all. Jake makes so much in a year. So I do trust his skills.
