{"id":5626,"date":"2026-06-26T02:49:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tmbglobal.news\/index.php\/2026\/06\/26\/curry-barker-sits-front-row-at-thome-browne-milan-fashion-show\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T02:49:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:49:10","slug":"curry-barker-sits-front-row-at-thome-browne-milan-fashion-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tmbglobal.news\/index.php\/2026\/06\/26\/curry-barker-sits-front-row-at-thome-browne-milan-fashion-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Curry Barker Sits Front Row at Thome Browne Milan Fashion Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/curry-barker\/\" id=\"auto-tag_curry-barker_1\" data-tag=\"curry-barker\">Curry Barker<\/a> has had a quick ascension to stardom following the debut of his hit horror flick <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/obsession-review-curry-barker-1236590399\/\">Obsession<\/a><\/em>, and continuing that pathway, the director just sat front row at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/thom-browne\/\" id=\"auto-tag_thom-browne_1\" data-tag=\"thom-browne\">Thom Browne<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThom Browne\u2019s\u00a0Spring 2027 ready-to-wear show took place on Monday in Milan, where the director sat amongst the likes of Charlie Hall, Jamie Campbell Bower, Joe Burrow and Olivia Cooke. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBarker celebrated the show on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DaBEq5Em4gy\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Instagram<\/a>, where he shared a photo of himself in an all-white ensemble and a second shot of him sitting front row at the show. He wrote, \u201c48 hrs in Milan. Congrats on an incredible show\u00a0@thombrowne!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHis attendance came just a few mere days after <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/curry-barker-next-film-universal-blumhouse-atomic-monster-1236625868\/\">exclusively revealed<\/a> that his next film has landed at Universal Film Group and Blumhouse Atomic Monster, in what is described as an eight-figure deal. Barker already has already shot his second feature, <em>Anything But Ghosts<\/em>, which he wrote, directed and stars in, with his third upcoming film serving as the first project in his orbit following the success of <em>Obsession<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe movie became\u00a0Focus Features\u2019\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/obsession-box-office-record-curry-barker-focus-top-movie-1236614215\/\">highest-grossing release of all time<\/a>; <em>Obsession<\/em> also notably became the first movie since 1982\u2019s\u00a0<em>E.T.: The Extraterrestrial\u00a0<\/em>to increase in its second and third weekends after releasing. It was made independently for $750,000 as Focus acquired the project out of Toronto International Film Festival for around $15 million. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBarker reflected on the film\u2019s triumphs and what it\u2019s done for his career in a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-features\/curry-barker-obsession-interview-1236620580\/\">digital cover for <em>THR<\/em><\/a>. He said said fellow filmmakers \u201creally started to reach out\u201d after <em>Obsession<\/em>\u2018s box office numbers went up following its third week out, matching <em>E.T.<\/em>\u2018s record. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cNathan Fielder reached out. Tim Robinson, who I freaking love. Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan and Paul Thomas Anderson publicly said things. I was becoming numb because it was so unbelievable, my brain couldn\u2019t really process it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThe opportunities were just unbelievable. I realized I can do whatever I want now,\u201d Barker said of his post-<em>Obsession<\/em> successes. \u201cMy whole career, I\u2019ve had to come up with crazy ideas and pitch them and if it didn\u2019t go over well, I\u2019d have to come up with something else. They were like, \u2018If you could do any movie you wanted, what would it be?\u2019 I was like, \u2018Whoa. Let me think about that for a second.&#8217;\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tExtending into his horror expertise, Barker will also next write and direct A24\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/texas-chainsaw-massacre-curry-barker-1236570681\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> reboot<\/a>.
