Kosick becomes the third member of the Wolverines to be drafted this year following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigandaily.com\/sports\/ice-hockey\/detroit-red-wings-select-j-p-hurlbert-23rd-overall-in-first-round-of-nhl-draft\/\">J.P Hurlbert<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigandaily.com\/sports\/ice-hockey\/utah-mammoth-select-adam-valentini-96th-overall-in-the-2026-nhl-draft\/\">Adam Valentini<\/a>. While the two will be joining Michigan\u2019s campaign this upcoming season, Kosick isn\u2019t headed to Ann Arbor until the Wolverines\u2019 2027-2028 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kosick started his 2025-2026 season in the WHL with the Swift Current Broncos where he tallied 34 points in 37 games played before he was traded midseason to the Seattle Thunderbirds.
