University of Michigan students and community members wrapped around the block for Insomnia Cookies<\/a>\u2019 eighth annual Pajama Party<\/a> Tuesday evening. In 2024, Insomnia coined<\/a> the holiday in honor of National PJ Party Night. Customers to the brand\u2019s South University Avenue location were encouraged to arrive in pajamas to receive a free cookie. Students could also participate in a special Dream Dorm<\/a> giveaway by posting a selfie in their pajamas at Insomnia with their cookie and tag the store.<\/p>\n In an interview with The Michigan Daily, Scott Bogorad, an employee at the Insomnia Cookies location in Rochester Hills, explained he was working at the Ann Arbor location to assist with pajama night. Pogorad said only a limited number of Insomnia storefronts participate in the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cTwenty-five (stores) in the country have the giveaways and everything like that, so we\u2019re one of 25.\u201d Bogorad said. \u201cOne of two in the state. The other one\u2019s in Detroit, at Wayne State (University).\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Every September, participating Insomnia Cookies locations encourage students to put on their pajamas and pick up a cookie at a participating location. In an interview with The Daily, LSA sophomore Charlie Clayton said she appreciated the pajama party\u2019s ability to bring community members together.\u00a0<\/p>\n
