His return marks nine years since he left the show in July 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tOdom\u2019s return to Hamilton<\/em> comes as the production prepares for its 10th anniversary on Broadway, on Aug. 6, 2025.<\/p>\n\u201cReturning to Hamilton <\/em>is a deeply meaningful homecoming,\u201d Odom said. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for the chance to step back into the room \u2014 especially during this anniversary moment \u2014 and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cWhen I saw Leslie perform \u2018The Room Where It Happens\u2019 at the first act two workshop of Hamilton<\/em>, I knew I was witnessing a historic moment.\u00a0How lucky we are that Leslie is returning to Hamilton <\/em>and bringing his indelible Burr back to Broadway,\u201d said Hamilton<\/em> producer Jeffrey Seller.<\/p>\n\n\tOdom returned to Broadway last season as a producer and star of Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch. <\/em>The show was nominated for six Tony Awards, including one for Odom.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tSince starring in Hamilton<\/em>, opposite Lin-Manuel Miranda, Odom has received two Academy Award nominations for One Night in Miami<\/em> for his portrayal of Sam Cooke and for best original song.
