The University of Michigan football program is set to hold its annual open spring practice for fans on April 1 at Michigan Stadium. Here’s everything fans need to know before attending:

The Maize and Blue scrimmage is free and open to the public, with the Wolverines taking the field around 3:00 p.m. to begin warm-ups and drills before the scrimmage. Select gates to Michigan Stadium will open at 2:00 p.m.

Gates 1, 2 and 10 on the east side will be open for fans to enter the Big House, with seating restricted to Sections 1-9 and Sections 37-44. There will not be any seating available on the west side or in the end zones due to the on-going scoreboard construction.

Big Ten Network will televise the practice and scrimmage on its digital platform starting at 3 p.m. The LEARFIELD Michigan Sports Network will air on WWJ Radio (950 AM in Detroit) starting at 2:45 p.m.

The scrimmage is one of the 15 allowed under NCAA rules. It is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather conditions before or during the session. The typical prohibited items list will be strictly enforced, with no bags allowed into the stadium for the practice. All attendees and items are subject to search.
