ARLINGTON, Texas — The Detroit Lions cruised to their first victory against Dallas in more than a decade, although this house of horrors could continue to haunt their title pursuit for weeks, or months, to come.
David Montgomery ran for two first-half touchdowns, Sam LaPorta added a 52-yard TD off a flea flicker before halftime and the Lions never looked back in a 47-9 bludgeoning against the Cowboys on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. That exorcised some demons in this building, site of the Brandon Pettigrew play, and the Dan Skipper play, and just so many high-stakes plays that went against the Lions over the last decade. They had lost five straight games here, and six straight games against Dallas overall.
