Stackable gold bangles have the ultimate staying power, as evidenced by Cartier’s cult-classic Love Bracelet. First introduced in 1969, the iconic piece of jewelry has only continued to gain momentum over its 56 years of existence.
And while a fair share of alternatives can feel a bit too spot-on, the lack of engraving and logos on Kate Spade’s Set in Stone Hinged Bangle helps achieve an equally timeless and on-trend arm candy look for a fraction of the price. The bracelet is adorned with round crystals set in either 12k yellow gold-plated metal, 12k rose gold-plated metal or rhodium-plated metal.
While there’s no comparison to Cartier’s 18k yellow, rose or white gold construction, priced at well under $100, Kate Spade’s version is an undeniably strong contender. And right now, both Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom are offering limited-time deals on the best-selling style. Through May 11, the former dropped its price from $58 to $43.50 and the latter from $68 to $51.
For those who prefer an even more streamlined look, Kate Spade makes a crystal-free 12k-gold plated version called the Idiom Heart of Gold Bangle, also discounted by 25 percent for a limited time at both department stores.
And while Cartier and Kate Spade’s bangles fall at drastically different ends of the spectrum, there are a selection of brands that offer a middle ground: fine jewelry that’s still a fraction of the name-brand cost. Two good examples of this — that are also temporarily reduced — are pieces from Ring Concierge and Saks Fifth Avenue Collection. Shop them below:
