Béis is taking inspiration from an all-American essential for its latest collab.
The travel brand founded by Canada-bred actress Shay Mitchell is teaming with Gap on a denim-inspired capsule collection of blue-hued luggage and accessories ($128 to $378) and adults and kids clothing ($8 to $128) in Béis’ signature suitcase shades — beige, black and Berry Pink. After dropping on Aug. 1 at gap.com and beistravel.com, some items from the 26-piece collection quickly sold out online.
The stylish travel label’s small and regular carry-on suitcases, large check-in, weekender bag and travel backpack are available in a new light blue hue. Béis’ versatility also crosses over into Gap’s gear: think convertible cargo pants and bandeau jumpsuits that transform into shorts or pants, travel-ready hoodies with built-in inflatable neck pillows, oversized blanket coats and decidedly nap-ready jean jackets. There are also organic cotton T-shirts and crop tops (featuring phrases like “out of the office,” “jet lagged” and “plane white tee”) in vintage finishes, logo-on-logo sweaters, barrel sweatpants, a striped poplin dolman shirt and matching boxer shorts, a sheer black maxi dress, barrel jeans, jorts, baseball hats and other comfort-minded essentials.
Gap’s website stocks the full range of clothing, accessories and travel products, while Béis’ site will offer all luggage and bags and a selection of clothing. The collab will be available at select Gap stores in the U.S., Canada and Japan.

The collab will be supported by a 75-second film — set in a “larger-than-life denim suitcase,” per the release — shot by Bjorn Iooss and directed by Andrew B. Myers. Mitchell also joined forces with her partner, Matte Babel, to creative-direct the joyful video, which stars the couple and their two children, Atlas and Rome, in their first-ever family brand photoshoot.

Gap has certainly stepped up its style game since hiring designer Zac Posen as creative director. Anne Hathaway debuted his Gap-backed return to the red carpet in a now-sold-out poplin shirtdress, while his GapStudio line has been sported by Demi Moore, Emily Ratajkowski, Timothée Chalamet, Alton Mason and other stars. The retailer has also previously collabed with Disney, Doen, LoveShackFancy, Malbon Golf and many other brands.
