Graduate forward Courtney Ogden has committed to the Michigan women’s basketball team, transferring from Stanford.
Ogden started in all 35 games for the Crimson last season where she shot over 50% from the field, averaging 13 points. In the quarterfinals of the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament on March 26, Ogden shot a career high 26 points.
Ogden announced that she was entering the transfer portal through an Instagram post she made on Wednesday. On Tuesday evening, Ogden confirmed that she’ll be joining the Wolverines for the 2026-27 season.
Graduate forward Ally VanTimmeren and senior forward Alyssa Crocket have graduated from Michigan and left a hole in the Wolverines’ front court that Ogden helps fill in. At 6-foot-1, she provided a substantial defensive presence while consistently producing from the field at Stanford. Ogden shot 88% from the charity stripe last season as well as 37% beyond the arc.
Ogden was a McDonald’s All-American in 2023 and she is from Atlanta, GA.
Her commitment marks Michigan coach Kim Barnes Arico’s first grab from the transfer portal for the upcoming season, leaving three spots remaining on the Wolverines’ roster.
